Title: Head of Process Engineering
YOKNEAM, Israel
We are looking for a Process Engineering Department Manager to provide overall management, professional guidance, training and direction to the Process Team. The role supports overall project delivery, including Bidding & Proposals activities, improves working methods and practices, and ensures compliance with international engineering safety standards and quality requirements. The position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
You will carry out the following activities:
- Provide professional leadership to the Process Team and take responsibility for the team’s performance.
- Manage, guide, train and set direction for process engineers.
- Mentor process engineers through projects, from R&D results to the design and engineering stages.
- Improve the productivity, working methods and practices of Process Engineering activities.
- Support the evaluation of data engineering and AI tools.
- Develop and implement process design tools, including plant design package databases, process simulation tools, calculation sheets, design guidelines, deliverable formats and preparation procedures.
- Plan and manage resources over the short, medium and long term.
- Plan and initiate training for Process Team employees and work with HR on execution.
- Oversee process development to ensure that the data required for project design is collected.
- Provide technical solutions that ensure design intent is maintained throughout project execution.
- Conduct technical audits of process design during the project engineering phase to ensure compliance with accepted process engineering standards and practices.
- Support proposal preparation, marketing activities and man-hour estimations.
- Ensure the department complies with international engineering safety standards and quality requirements.
Required profile:
- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, with substantial experience at Lead Engineer level or, ideally, at management level in a similar environment.
- Experience in the chemical and/or mineral industries is preferred.
- Experience in a multi-discipline design practice is an advantage.
- Excellent technical English and fluent spoken English.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to motivate people.

- Ability to design and implement business processes.
- Analytical thinking and strong planning capabilities.
- Broad process engineering knowledge, including design and operations.
- Strong time-management skills.
- People-management scope and number of direct reports: managing 11 engineers.
