Your role in Tenova:  Commissioning Engineer
Description: 

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer, to join the Tenova Material Handling unit. This division is responsible for the supply of material handling equipment, with a specific focus for port and material handling terminals loading and unloading machines.

The ideal candidate will work as performing the commissioning of Material Handling machineries and equipment, in full respect of the Business Unit quality standards.

 He / She will take responsibility of the following activities:

  • Support the engineering team to prepare the equipment functional description
  • Prepare the commissioning manual and procedures for the trials of the various discipline supervisorsor for pre/commissioning  and ensure the collecting of trial documentation and the technical documentation updated according to trials held.
  • Transmit any request for modification and the ensuing non-compliance reports, co-ordinate pending lists with discipline supervisors and execution managers.
  • Guide and support the automation specialist in finalize the software during the commissioning phase
  • Prepare the take over packages.
  • Support site manager in plant start-up activities.
  • Guarantee, wherever necessary, the execution of ''off site training'' and ''training on the job'' for Client personnel.
  • Report and archive the results of commissioning activities, giving feedback to technical department, in particular for guaranteed parameters and customer acceptance.
  • Perform test execution/commissioning .
  • Give feedback to project manager/engineer  about the plant working condition in reference to the design parameters.

Required profile:

  • Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic and Automation).
  • At least 10 years of experience in the same role.
  • Knowledge of plants and machines for the material handling industry.
  • Knowledge of sector specific law (e.g. Engineering, safety requirements, audit regulations, Insurance laws etc.) and knowledge standard specifications (e.g. plant layout requirements, etc.) including the ability to integrate these standards.
  • Ability to adapt to different environments (team, technologies, countries, etc.) from a technical point of view, to find out new possible technological solutions according to customer's needs.
  • Knowledge of the parameters and software to control the process.
  • Knowledge of the most advanced PC tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good understanding of dynamic and challenging environments.
  • Organizational capabilities, planning and controlling, customer orientation, results orientation, problem solving, and people management will complete the ideal candidate profile.
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
