Your role in Tenova:  Buyer - Internship
Description: 

We are looking for a motivated junior engineer to join our Procurement Team; this internship offers the opportunity to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment with room for professional growth. 

The candidate will be able to explore the following activities:

  • Support in editing the Project Procurement Plan together with Project Manager and Procurement Manager;
  • Analyze the material/activity to buy according with the Procurement Plan and with contract terms;
  • Inquire Suppliers and collect offers by verifying that they are compliant with the requirements established in the Offer Request documentation;
  • Prepare the preliminary tabulation, regardless of the technical analysis outcome, evaluating the commercial conditions and comparing the actual prices with the cost estimate data and historical data;
  • To promote the technical alignment and approval among the offers collected by making leverage on Tenova technical departments involved;
  • Invite the selected Suppliers to negotiate and drafts the negotiation report;
  • Once negotiations are concluded, prepare the final table and submit it to the approval process;
  • Support the Vendor List analysys, identifying the weak areas and prepare an improvement plan together with the Local Procurement Manager;
  • Being part of a dedicated team for a specific sourcing project to re-design the entire supply chain of those products;
  • Assist the Procurement Manager in the procurement process management attending to weekly project review meeting.

Required profile:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Management Engineering.
  • Ability to research markets, suppliers, and price trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and precision.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
