Electrode Regulation Software

A major multinational group operating in the steel industry and a leader in the design and construction of turnkey plants, with approximately 2,000 employees and significant production and commercial units worldwide, is looking for a specialist in programming regulation systems for Electric Arc Furnaces. The work will be carried out in collaboration with a team of 4 people.
You will take responsibility of the following activities:
- Development and maintenance of regulation system software;
- System testing at subcontractors;
- Testing and commissioning of the regulation system;
- Technical support to customers;
- Opportunity to implement new cloud-based functionalities for advanced assistance and performance analysis services.
Requirements:
- Computer or electronics technician diploma;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering;
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience;
- Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages;
- Ability to develop software in a structured and organized manner;
- Familiarity with analog signal acquisition boards;
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus;
- Knowledge of the Linux operating system is a plus;
- Experience with HTML5 programming is a plus;
- Ability to work independently;
- Availability for short business trips in Italy and abroad;
- Experience using GIT for project version control.
