We are looking for a fresh graduate in Automation and Control Engineering, willing to join our Automation Team, with a strong passion for technology and motivation to work within a multicultural and challenging environment. You will work in an international environment characterized by high technology complexity; you will be involved in a path of growth and in professional training along with senior colleagues.The Automation Engineer will be responsible for analysing customers' production processes and developing plant automation at PLC and HMI level. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:

  • Proposing the most appropriate technological solutions by preparing the functional specifications of the software that will form the basis of the complete automation system (software functions to be developed, operator interface, interfaces with other plant software, system operating methods)
  • Developing the PLC/HMI software and drafting the required functional tests
  • Drawing up the system documentation and technical manuals
  • Participating in the commissioning of the systems, performing all the required tests and providing the necessary assistance for commissioning, in accordance with the procedures and project specifications
  • Intervening in the after-sales phase by providing timely assistance to customers, identifying problems and studying solutions and improvements.

Required profile:

  • Degree in Automation and Control Engineering
  • At least 2 years' experience in developing automation systems for the steel industry or industrial plants
  • Proficiency in Siemens TIA and Step 7 PLC languages
  • Knowledge of programming other major PLC brands (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, ABB) is appreciated
  • Knowledge of DCS system programming (Siemens PCS7, Emerson Delta-V, Honeywell Experion) will be considered a plus 
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken
  • Good organizational skills, as well as excellent relational skills and team working capabilities, flexibility and result orientation complete the ideal profile
  • Willingness to travel
