Field Service Engineer
Tenova, Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer to be responsible for providing highly specialized technical services on specialized imported equipment of critical importance for key steel plants in the United States.
Duties include: (i.) performing technical, mechanical and hydraulic calibrations, assembly, repairs, and refurbishments of machine or machine-groups.; (ii.) providing expertise to the maintenance personnel and contractors of the Company's clients; (iii.) ensuring that maintenance activities, repairs, and installations are performed as required by the highly advanced technical specifications; (iv.) ensuring that required procedures are followed to maximize equipment performance, availability, and durability; (v.) ensuring proper management and organization of the project site; (vi.) assessing project sites to ensure equipment safety protocols are being followed or corrective actions are taken.
Must have four (4) years of experience in a related position.
Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i.) specialized installation, calibration, and repair of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Roll Grinding Machines for Rolling Mill production of flat metallic sheets; (ii.) micrometric alignment of massive castings; (iii.) geometrical alignment and levelling of machine beds to precise engineering specifications; (iv.) mechanical transmission systems installed on machines, such as special design gears, belt and pulley transmissions, multi-stage mechanisms; (v.) micrometric infeed systems for precise machining; (vi.) micrometric measuring systems installed on roll grinders for automatic measuring of work piece; (vii.) PLC, CNC and electric system installed on roll grinders; (viii.) NDT (Non Destructive Testing) systems installed on roll grinders; (ix.) grinding process programming, assessment and optimization; (x.) safety procedures related to various types of industrial tasks (elevated work, confined space, electric and chemical hazards, etc.).
Must be able and willing to travel within assigned region and globally up to 90%.
