Your role in Tenova:  Technical Sales Proposal Specialist
Description:

Technical Sales Proposal Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and talented professional to join our Service team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in translating technical modernization and revamping studies into structured and competitive commercial proposals, contributing to business growth while developing technical-commercial expertise and progressively gaining direct exposure to customer-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proposal Management: Manage the end-to-end modernization/revamping proposal process through SAP and CRM, from opportunity creation to the final proposal document.
  • Technical-Commercial Documentation: Convert technical studies developed by the team (mechanical, hydraulic, and process analyses) into structured, consistent, and customer-oriented commercial proposals.
  • Process Standardization: Proactively develop templates, content libraries, and tools to streamline and standardize the proposal preparation process, improving efficiency and repeatability.
  • Technical Product Packages: Create and maintain standard proposal packages for strategic products within the Service Meltshop portfolio (e.g., EBT Manipulators, hydraulic systems, EAF/LF components).
  • Customer Exposure and Development: Gradually participate in the final stages of the proposal process, supporting technical interactions with customers as a natural development path within the role rather than an entry-level requirement.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate closely with technical specialists (engineering studies and calculations), sales teams, and spare parts experts to ensure alignment between technical data and the final commercial proposal.
  • Supply Chain and Service Interface: Work closely with Supply Chain and Service teams to verify lead times, product availability, and operational feasibility of the proposed solutions.

What we ask for

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Engineering.
  • Previous experience in proposal management or commercial offer preparation is not required. What matters most is curiosity, a genuine willingness to learn the technical-commercial side of the business, and, over time, to develop direct relationships with customers.
  • Strong interest in the commercial and business aspects of technical work, beyond engineering calculations and design activities.
  • Ability to read, understand, and summarize technical documentation (mechanical, hydraulic, and process-related), even when not directly involved in producing the underlying analyses.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet competing deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP and CRM systems can be learned on the job.
  • Ability to use CAD/Inventor and drawing management systems to view, interpret, and understand technical drawings.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of French or Spanish is considered an advantage.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to contribute to Upstream&TAT - EAF Service activities with a direct impact on business performance
  • A dynamic and international environment where ideas are valued and innovation is encouraged
  • Continuous learning opportunities through training, exposure to new technologies and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Hybrid working model according to company policy and role requirements
  • Performance Management through an annual appraisal and development process
  • Company Canteen available on site
  • Supplementary healthcare coverage
  • Well-being initiatives to support employees

For the position, the starting gross annual salary will be from € 38.000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s seniority, experience, and skills, as well as the outcome of the selection process.
