PROCESS ENGINEER - SECONDARY METALLURGY

Tenova is a leading global supplier of steelmaking equipment for process technology and vacuum degassing plants (VD/VOD; RH/RH-OB). With engineering offices for technology development and an R&D competence center for process technologies, the company is the point of contact for specific requirements and solutions in the steel industry. We make an active contribution to climate protection with the vision of a sustainable steel industry and provide the necessary technologies for liquid steel refinement.

To strengthen our activities of Secondary Metallurgy Plants, we are looking for a Process Engineer.

Responsibilities within the team or profile:

• Identify and select the best equipment and solution for vacuum degassing plants / secondary metallurgy processes
• Preparation of process calculations and development of main plant concept (PFDs, equipment sizing, process design)
• Provision of technical risk analysis and functional descriptions of vacuum degassing / secondary metallurgical plants
• Preparation of basic engineering / process design
• Preparation of technical process documentation, both internal and external
• Revision of the offers and supplier documents
• Provision of input data to the special functions involved in the project
• Support of the sales activities (Scope, Pricing) with preliminary sizing and dimensioning of secondary metallurgy equipment
• Support of after sales activities and project management
• Commissioning / start-up of plants worldwide

Required profile:

• Master/Diploma-, or PhD degree with focus on process engineering, metallurgy or mechanical engineering
• Passion for plant engineering and process design
• Experience in secondary metallurgy plants / equipment is a plus
• Good English Skills, if possible at negotiation level
• German language (not mandatory) is a plus
• Creative and innovative mindset, problem-solving and results-oriented approach
• Willingness to travel worldwide for sales and commissioning tasks
• Cooperation and teamwork.
• Aptitude for problem solving.
